FRIED SHRIMP AND LIFE
I have merely arranged the atoms—
calling on my talents, I whip solid potatoes into heavenly
white clouds of deliciousness,
and, in the lab of the kitchen, raw shrimp becomes food
the Gods would only deem for them,
but I serve it to you, by merely arranging the temperature,
the list of loving ingredients, dashing in hope and dreams,
topped with extravagant saltiness, sass and silliness,
to fill you up, send you off, let you dream, build your world—
and all I did was merely arrange a few atoms today.
