OPEN A WINDOW
His favorite show
growing up was
The Flying Nun.
Agatha is hardly
a nun though
she flies through
stained glass
at St. Crispian’s Church,
never interrupts Mass.
Back home she lightly
lands beside
red mums. Earth
has some charm,
not enough
to ground her.
AGATHA TAKING OFF
The moon is a popcorn popper.
Kernals of light explode
as my wings flap.
If I’m home by supper,
I’ll send you a dream of me
at the table.
