The moment everything changed
It’s that day when it all came crashing down
The world had stopped.
Everything was in slow motion
I can hear the wind moving my American flag
The blinding vision of the sun reflecting off my black truck.
I can hear a heart shatter as it seeps in the hot garage floor.
I can only imagine as I wipe the tears of pain away.
I can feel everything change in a single moment.
That feeling when you wait to find out if a Dr can save you with surgery.
That feeling of a hot knife cutting your skin to save your life.
That feeling when nothing will ever be the same.
